Popular British actor Daniel Radcliffe and director James Watkins for a few days came to Moscow premiere of scary movie «The Woman in black”, where Daniel plays the main part.
We had an opportunity to visit the movie premiere and make some questions for Daniel and James on their press-conference in The Ritz Carlton Hotel. The Actor appeared before journalists at simple clothes. He was very pleasant, joked a lot and made all of us to fell in love with him. Daniel didn’t scare Russian frost: ”I think it is the same temperature, as it is in England, so I have a nice time here!”. Also he confessed that really like Russian literature and architecture. In that case, spending time in Moscow, he visited Patriarshy ponds and Bulgakov ‘s flat (Bulgakov – Russian writer- note). It should be saying, that Radcliffe is very good at Russian too: “I know: “Hello”, “Thanks”, ”Please” and….. Baba Yaga (Russian fairytale character-note). 22-year-old handsome didn’t extend to private life, said only, that the work takes more time, than it seems. In the Daniel’s near future-art-house thriller by John Krokidas “Kill your Darlings”, where he plays an American poet Allen Ginsberg. Premiere is scheduled for 2013. But with colleagues of Harry Potter, Radcliffe hasn’t any plans in the next 10 years.
In new movie “The Woman in Black” Daniel’s hero-Arthur Kipps, is a widowed lawyer, whose grief has put his career in jeopardy, is sent to a remote village to sort out the affairs of a recently deceased eccentric. But upon his arrival, it soon becomes clear that everyone in the town is keeping a deadly secret. Although the townspeople try to keep Kipps from learning their tragic history, he soon discovers that the house belonging to his client is haunted by the ghost of a woman who is determined to find someone and something she lost… and no one, not even the children, are safe from her vengeance.1. Adrian Rawlins – who played Daniel Radcliffe’s father in the Harry Potter series – played the same character in the 1989 version as Radcliffe plays in this film.
2. The boy who plays Daniel Radcliffe’s son is his real godson, a casting idea made by Radcliffe himself served to help him establish an authentic relationship between father and son.
In U.S. the movie has been released 3-rd of February 2012, but Russian audience will see it only 15-th of March 2012.
